Here at Evergreen we've found numerous ways to recycle used bottles into something useable. We have a large selection of glassware cut from old used bottles.

Show me your punt!

How clean is your punt? and what is a punt anyway?
the punt is the indentation in some bottles that was originally create when bottles were blown. Now bottles have punts for their style and because people like how it looks. The punt does not add or detract from the wines excellent flavor, color or bouquet.

Beer Bottles

Beer Bottles vary in shape and size. Brown bottles keep the light from making beer skunky. There are clear bottles, green and then brown. Most beers are bottled in brown but it is a brewers preference.

Recycling

Every 200 cases of recycled wine bottles offsets the equivalent CO2 emissions of 138 gallons of gasoline.
Glass and plastic take the longest to decompose but are completely recyclable, therefore, it is important to purchase, recycle, and reuse both glass and plastic products.

How did this get started?

A day in April 2009 I had a conversation with Andy from Bay Area Recycling for Charities. He and I discussed the amount of glass bottles that were lying around. I was amazed that they weren't being reused by the wineries and breweries. I did a lot of research and found equipment and interest in sanitizing glass for reuse. The start of the last century gave us a country that was focused on reusing as much as possible. We have moved away from that to a society of instant gratification. Well, I believe we need to move back to reusing, re-purposing and finding creative strategies for keeping glass out of the ground.
